A refit of the original "Triumph" ( [link] , [link]), and a very old work. I drew this version for the sequel of the GUNDAM-FINAL-FRONTIER fan fiction that my friends and me began (but never ended).
I thought many names for this 2nd TRIUMPH, and I called "Hi-Triumph" for a long time, but... OK, it was a too Obvious copy f Hi-Nu Gundam's name.
Aside of the most obvious design variations (including the huge heat dispersion fins between the wings, the binders, and the weapons), the major difference between this one and the original Triumph is that the first one was build for a New-type pilot (my character in the first fic', Zachio Fusso ), so it had system very similar to Nu-Gundam's psycho-frame, and the MK-II is built for an Old-type Pilot (but a very good one, my dearest Mercy Grace).
Since Mercy is an enhanced human ( Proto-sapiens, using the fan fiction's term), this Triumph Gundam is theoretically faster than the first one, but safer, even with the risk of the molecular vibration acceleration created by the QUAFFS System.
The Shield is smaller because this one has a beam Shield Generator, as an extra protection, aside of the Neo-Defensers remote weapons system.
Mnn about the pic, I let some of the ink lines to wide, and the size of the fins still bother me, but I'm very satisfied with the main design.
It kinda has some influence, indeed. I was too hype for Seed's and Destiny's deigns at the moment. Got over it soon tho. The chest was heavily influenced by the "God Gundam" design, from G-Gundam. If I had the time or the inspiration I'd probable redesign this one to make it less shiny and "pretty", more practical and "Army-like".
Amazing as always my friend. Ive just realized that the backgrounds in your works are just fantastic. I love this one ive added it to my faves. Keep up the great work my friend.
Thanks man, Your critics cheer me up, as always. I was very focused in this pic.
About the Backgrounds, well, I must confess that in past pictures, as this one, I use backgrounds I find on the web and I modify them. So the Space in this one is not totally mine, I modified some parts, adding shines, colors and more stars.
LOL im glad i cheer you up. I don't know if you read the imagineFX magezine?! but in last months issue there was an article on how to draw stars and space wich was awesome. i will try send you a link if you are interested. Ciao
Thanks
